This Product Manager role is ideal for someone with experience in an investment platform, robo-advisor or other retail investment company who wants to be a part of something that is a little bit different. This role will suit those who have experience in a product, marketing or analyst role and understand how platforms work and their relative pricing structures.

You will look across the industry and help us to update and improve our Best Buys tables, pricing calculator as well as working up a new product launch. Your drive will be to help consumers make better, confident choices. You will be the main product owner of our ISA and pension comparison tables and be responsible for the content, the research and managing the relationships with these providers.

You will be joining a small team that is proactive and moves quickly. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, with new and fresh ideas.
This role will suit someone with specific industry knowledge who wants to be part of a smaller, nimble team where they can make a positive contribution, see the output which they are responsible for and help the end consumer to make better choices.

Previous Experience

We are looking for a product manager who has a strong understanding of:

  • The retail investment market and the key financial products and services.
  • DIY pensions.
  • The investing options open to consumers and their advantages and disadvantages.
  • The pricing structures of online investing platforms.
  • And preferably funds and the underlying investments available on these platforms.

You will have direct experience of working in the investment industry, ideally for an online investment provider.

The Role

Boring Money is developing a niche as the best comparison site for investments and pensions. You will take ownership of these pages and make sure that the content is up-to-date, the pricing information is correct and that our representation is fair. You will manage relationships with the providers, make sure we are covering the best in the market and also take journalists queries on propositions and pricing.

The company

Boring Money is a ‘scale-up’ digital information business set up by the Founder of The Platforum, Holly Mackay. We help people who find finance baffling and confusing to make some better choices. And we work with the industry to help them make better products and content.

Boring Money launched in June 2015. Since then our audience has grown substantially. The events we hold and the research we produce has gained industry recognition and we regularly run features in national publications, most recently in The Times, The Mail and The Financial Times.

Our first consumer campaign had more than 850,000 video views across YouTube and Facebook. You can see these on our YouTube channel.

There are currently 14 full-time employees working across our research, sales and marketing team.

Location & Team

The role is full-time based in London, near to Bond Street Underground Station.

Salary and start

Commensurate with experience.
