Let`s Grow

OK so this one was a challenge! M&G have sponsored the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for years and have a great brand with the cohort of green-fingered gardeners who visit this chlorophyll-kingdom every year.

We wanted to build on this amazing platform and to create content for this audience which would very gently weave in some investment and pensions tips and pointers along the way.

Presenting such a podcast was a challenge – Holly has been known to kill mint in the past (unintentionally) and so meeting M&G garden designer and former gold medal winner Sarah Price was a challenge. But it’s hard not to be captivated by this humble fine artist as she tells her story and we see how she brings her vision to life.

On the road to Chelsea, we meet up with James Wong for tips on chillies and raspberries, hang out on an allotment with M&G boss Anne Richards and other botanical boffins and delve into the dark side of gardening, talking pests, bad backs and fence fights.

Financial advisers Ruth Sturkey and David Braithwaite give pensions and investment tips, we check in with Anne Richards about the outlook for the UK economy and we talk emerging markets, investing for income and how to find a good financial adviser.

The first episode can be heard below, with new episodes released weekly in the lead up to show day.
