About the role
At a pivotal stage of its growth, Boring Money is looking for an energetic, committed, ‘hands-on’ Marketing Executive who will help contribute to helping us deliver our ambitious growth plans.
The role of the Marketing Executive is both broad and challenging. Our scale-up environment is fluid and will suit someone with an entrepreneurial drive or experience with smaller businesses, without large support teams and well-trodden paths. You will be a motivated, curious self-starter and capable of creative problem solving. The ideal candidate will thrive through collaboration with dynamic team but not require hand holding. With 1-2 years’ experience behind you or a formal marketing qualification, you will want to contribute, grow and be challenged.
The Marketing Executive will be split across our B2C and B2B arms, functioning as a cornerstone of core marketing activity. You will join a team that keenly balances strong visual design and skilled written comprehension.
You will be responsible for creating website pages and managing daily website updates. You care about visual communications and take pride in creating interesting, bold marketing content for web pages, our social media feeds and supporting comms channels, using tools such as Canva and/or Photoshop.
Positioning and targeted messages form the basis for successful marketing campaigns. As a deft hand with the written word and a diligent reader, you be able to scan our content, scour our research reports with a view to craft interesting social posts and web pages. You are not intimidated by data and the opportunity to work alongside a well-established research team is exciting. You will turn their findings and discoveries into content that our audiences will find interesting and helpful.
As your skills and knowledge of the business advance, you will assume responsibilities that support broader campaigns and launches.
Your key deliverables
Creating and publishing content for our B2C and B2B websites based on our content [extracted from our video content, articles, research reports and data sets].
Work closely with our marketing stakeholders to maintain the content on our websites, ensuring they are meeting the needs of brand and commercial partners and are up to date.
Production of marketing materials – either developing your own with Canva and Photoshop or working with external designers to create web assets social media assets, and various web content.
Work closely with the wider marketing and research team to execute the social media calendar, create social media posts for B2C and B2B.
Contribute to supporting content projects and client accounts when required.
Help to facilitate and manage relationships with third party agencies.
Assisting with creative concepts.
Desired skills
Experience with managing web content in a CMS (Umbraco, Sanity.io, WordPress).
Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop or InDesign.
Experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Social Media Management tools or Project Management tools such as Monday.com.
Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Dotmailer or Braze would be a huge bonus.
Keen eye for detail and diligence. You take pride in your work and understand the importance of following through.
The successful applicant will have prior experience of contributing to a website, whether their own or in a corporate/creative environment.
